Diospyros kaki, The World Tree

Information concerning the additions for the repertory of Diosp-k-c

Dropping the plutonium bomb on Nagasaki, August 9, 1945, herald the end of the Second World War. Major parts of the city of Nagasaki were utterly destroyed, a high percentage of the population died. Close to the epicenter, one tree survived: the Kaki tree (Diospyros kaki). This tree survived the inferno and its power of life makes it the World Tree.

After the nuclear explosion, death reigned all around the tree. The survivors were faced with awful diseases such as cancer, including leukemia, internal haemorrhages, birth defects, hair loss and swollen scar tissue. The Nagasaki Kaki tree is a symbol of the end of the Second World War, an end to destruction, domination, rape and death, and of survival and a new hope as well.

About five years ago, the homoeopathic remedy, Diospyros kaki Creveld was developed. In the meanwhile I have gained substantial positive experience with the remedy in my own practice. Others too have obtained good results. Diospyros has been shown to work in the case of themes emerging from the dream proving which I described in my paper (-1-) and in my book (-3-). The remedy has been used for patients suffering severe physical, psychological and mental complaints due to post-traumatic stress syndrome (PTSS) caused by war (1st and 2nd generation), wartime camps (1st and 2nd generation), imprisonment with torture, rape and incest. Positive results were also found in patients who were adopted from Asian countries as babies. From their stories, anxieties and dreams it was likely that their mothers had been severely traumatised at the time of conception or during pregnancy. Moreover, fire victims suffering severe complaints reacted well to the remedy, e.g., the victims of the Volendam fire disaster (-2-, -3-). Diospyros kaki has been much used during chemotherapy and radiotherapy, in which it substantially reduced the side effects caused by primary therapy. In some cases, the tumours or metastases disappeared (during or after treatment) sooner than one would normally expect.

Recently I made some additions to the English language repertory, to be included in repertories under the abbreviation Diosp-k-c. Part of these additions (232) were drafted using data from the proving. They were largely based on reliable symptoms in cases where there was a positive and lasting reaction to the remedy. Some 1900 additions were made, including 512 under the Mind heading, 184 under Generals and 421 under Dreams. Most additions are included with the first degree. The data obtained from proving and patients or that occurred in several patients were included with the second and third degree. The additions I regard as describing the essence, the key notes of the remedy, are largely included in the third degree.

Below, some additions with second and third degree are given:
