On 10th of April 2010, His Holiness Buddha Maitreya Treatment and Healing Center organized a program “Homoeopathy Day” to commemorate the 255th birthday of German Dr. Samuel Hahnemann (founder of Homoeopathy). The venue was culturally and traditionally rich heritage site of Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

The main theme of the program was ‘Homoeopathy Tourism’, keeping the Tourism Year 2011 under consideration. International Homoeopaths also participated in the program and shared their knowledge about Homoeopathy and its efficacy, thus disseminating information about Homoeopathy to a larger mass.

   


Homeopathy Award

‘Shree Marwadi Sewa Samiti, Nepal’ was awarded with “Dr. Krishna Bhagat Pradhanang Homoeopathic Award” for its continuous service in Homoeopathy since 2010 B. S. Mr. Jagadis Prasad Khetan – Honorary Vice President of Marwadi Sewa samiti, Nepal received the honor on behalf of the organization. He also expressed his commitment to make Homoeopathic treatment services better and effective in the future.
   


Annie O’Moon Browning

International guests, Annie O’Moon Browning – Homoeopath, Australia and Dr. Srikant Choudhary – MD (Hom), Kolkata, India expressed their views on Homoeopathy. They talked about the situation of Homoeopathy in their respective Nation and how it was gaining popularity globally.

 

Mr. Uttam Prasad Baidhya – President, Bhaktapur Chamber of Commerce and Industry spoke about the usefulness of Homoeopathy and urged everyone to make Tourism Year 2011 a success. Another guest speaker, Mr. K. M. Ranjitkar – GM, The Malla Hotel and President, Rotary Club of Thamel shared his experience of Buddha Maitreya Soul Therapy Meditation with the public.

   


Norbert Meyer

The chief guest of the program, Mr. Norbert Meyer – DCM, Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany, provided more information on Homoeopathy. As Homoeopathy came from Germany, there are approximately more than 5000 Homoeopaths in Germany. Homoeopathy is slowly gaining popularity in Nepal as an alternative system of medicine and it is very suitable in the context of Nepal as it is cost efficient, effective and without side effects. He also wished for the success of the Tourism Year 2011.

 


Dr. Rajesh Pradhanang

Dr. Rajesh Pradhanang, President of His Holiness Buddha Maitreya Treatment and Healing Center gave a brief introduction about the center and the history of Homoeopathy in Nepal. He expressed his opinion on how Homoeopathy could be interlinked with tourism for the betterment of the system and the general public could also be able to get treatment facilities from international Homoeopaths.

 

To make the program more interesting and informative various cultural dance and songs were also presented that helped to portray the cultural abundance of Nepal.
