Wonderful Plants by Jan Scholten

Scholten

After many years of intensive research, Jan Scholten’s long-awaited book on the taxonomy of plants, Wonderful Plants, is now available in English. Jan Scholten’s previous works on the systematic classification of the elements of the periodic table as homeopathic remedies was the greatest breakthrough of the last ten years in homeopathy. His discoveries have been confirmed in thousands of successful cases. Yet, the main thrust of Jan Scholten’s research is not the Mineral but the Plant kingdom. This can easily be seen in the thoroughness and precision of the information offered in his monumental new work.

The same natural laws that can be seen in the series and stages of the periodic table also underlie the taxonomic system of the enormously varied plant families. The path to the required remedy is not as easy to recognize as with the mineral elements – indeed, it is still evolving! One of the timeless values of this work lies in the essences of the plant families.

"Can you imagine the joy of clearing many cases that did not respond to our limited number of plant remedies as well as having a more precise and systematic way of finding those and new plant remedies? This makes the journey through this book worth it. It represents another evolutionary leap forward for the homeopathic profession." Louis Klein

The synergy in homeopathy by Rajan Sankaran

Sankaran

An Integrated Approach to Case-Taking and Analysis. Traditional Classical Homoeopathy, with symptoms, rubrics, and keynotes, has stood the test of time. Introduction of newer, more contemporary ideas - of kingdom, levels, miasms and sensation - have brought Homoeopathy into a new paradigm. Never before has the connection between the patient and the remedy source been as clear. These contemporary ideas have become very popular and have led to many successful cases. However, enamoured by success with this method, a whole new generation have started using it as a shortcut, and have sometimes neglected traditional knowledge. The profession became split, with conventional and contemporary homoeopathy sharply divided. The originator of the Sensation Method, Dr. Rajan Sankaran, has always maintained that symptoms and system are two sides of same coin and that success results from an integrated approach. It is like using both the left and right sides of the brain; both the factual and conceptual aspects of the patient and remedy have to be seen together. The knowledge and understanding found in old masters like C. M. Boger is now explained in detail in this book. Through illustrative cases, Rajan Sankaran demonstrates the secret of success with the integrated approach. Through a seamless blending of the old and new, the symptom and system, conventional and contemporary, the results are proof of a quantum leap in homoeopathic practice.

Wondrous Order by Michal Yakir

Yakir

Similarly to the periodic table, the botanical system can be used as a basis for homeopathic prescribing. The homeopath Michal Yakir, a former botanist, uses the Cronquist system and has developped a logical and easy to use way of applying the plant system to homeopathy. The table provides a scheme that connects between plant development stages to human developmental stages – from birth to old age: from unity to individuality.

The plant table explains the traits of groups of plants, small remedies and new provings. Even our cases can be understood more clearly, and the homeopathic prescription improved.

The columns (botanical sub-classes) portray a journey of differentiation and independence from the state of oneness, from the wholeness of “self”, toward formation of an individual ego: from unity to separation, first from the feminine element, later on from masculine element, receiving the teaching and issues of each. Contenting with those elements allows departure from the ego closure and advancement toward relationship with “the other” and interaction and contact with the outer world: From union and oneness to a differentiated ego, able to cooperate as individual with the collective.

The rows (the orders, the botanical groups within each column) describe stages of development and maturation in each column, starting with pre-birth, through infancy, childhood and adolescence until maturity and old age.

The grouping of rows and columns: Every phase of ego separation from the self is experienced within the column in different levels of development, and is expressed accordingly.

Helium by Jeremy Sherr

Sherr

Jeremy Sherr has been researching and writing about the Noble gases since 1993 and in his own words "Helium is the gateway to the seven noble gases. The noble gases are the key to understanding the periodic table. The elements of the periodic table are the building blocks of the universe. I therefore embarked on an investigation of the Noble gases towards a deeper understanding of health, disease and our entire materia medica. The journey began in 1993 with the proving of Neon. I followed in 1995 with the Helium, and 1997 gave birth to both Krypton and Argon. My friend and colleague Silvie Gowen later proved Xenon and Radon. Thus the six noble samurai are near completed, missing only the seventh and most elusive ‘Element 118’. These collective provings form a family of remedies, grouped together not only by their unique placement in the periodic chart and consequent proving symptoms. It is this family that I have set out to examine, based not on speculation but on the correct homoeopathic sequence of provings followed by perception followed by clinical cases.

I have waited a long time to publish these volumes partly because I wanted to accumulate a comprehensive body of clinical experience, and partly because these provings are at the same time complex and amazing, both as individual remedies and as a group pattern. In this game the provings have provided the raw information. I am merely an interpreter. It has taken the best of my mental ability to ponder, perceive and unravel some of the secrets hidden within these remedies.

The ultimate volume in this series will attempt to reach some conclusions regarding the noble gases as a family, and perhaps more importantly to use the knowledge gained to investigate the preceding rows of elements and the entire periodic table; its aspirations, limitations and clinical applications. Furthermore I hope to go beyond these concepts by using the understanding gained to take a peek into a small corner of our vast universe. As such this work is an opus, and by far the most difficult intellectual challenge I have ever undertaken."

Polarity analysis in homeopathy by Heiner Frei

Frei

Polarity analysis is a new method that improves clinical outcomes in homeopathy by using smaller but more reliable data sets such as Boenninghausen’s Therapeutic Pocket Book, as well as a disciplined approach to gathering information and a rational, reproducible differential diagnosis of homeopathic remedies. It is based on Boenninghausen’s grading of polar symptoms (i.e. symptoms that also have an opposite) such as thirst/no thirst or cold aggravates/ameliorates. Polarity analysis was the prerequisite for the success of the rigorous Swiss homeopathic ADHD double-blind trial, which resulted in scientific evidence for the effectiveness of highly diluted homeopathic remedies.

This book introduces the polarity analysis method and provides numerous case studies of acute and chronic diseases, as well as of multimorbid patients. These serve as an illustration and exercise for learning polarity analysis. Readers can use the included checklists and questionnaires to apply this procedure in their own practice. In addition, the book cites several outcome studies to demonstrate the method’s effectiveness.

Author Dr. Heiner Frei is a paediatric physician from Berne who has already published three previous books on topics related to homeopathy. He also inspires many audiences with his presentations on the process of polarity analysis as per Boenninghausen.

Cancer and Homeopathy by Jean Lionel Bagot

Bagot

Cancer treatment has progressed enormously in recent years. However, the therapies often expose patients to side effects which can impair their quality of life. Solving this problem is what has driven Dr. Jean-Lionel Bagot on for over ten years now. With a team of Strasbourg oncologists  he can now offer homeopathy in support of surgery, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and hormonal therapy. This approach  has been amazingly successful! Homeopathy is surprisingly able to help and support patients
This book details the homeopathic remedies and their dosage by cancer and treatment type, according to the side effects encountered. He also deals with the emotional management of the disease and its therapies.
A first practical guide on the subject, its special quality lies in the detailed recommendations it contains covering all stages of the disease : from diagnosis disclosure to a return to "normal" life. It is easy to read and very simple to follow. It is an invaluable tool, both for patients and for physicians.

"This book contains a wealth of tips and practical advice to manage as best one can the toxicity of treatments and adapt the patient's daily life so that they can cope as well as possible with their disease". Professor Gilles Freyer, Oncologist, Lyon University Teaching Hospital, France

New world veterinary repertory by Richard Pitcairn and Wendy Jensen

Pitcairn

The very first repertory designed exclusively for veterinary use. Of the more than 110 repertories published over the last two centuries*, this is the first that has been carefully constructed to be of special application to veterinary practice. Until now, veterinarians practicing the homeopathy of Hahnemann have used the repertories designed for human beings – Kent's, Boenninghausen's Therapeutic Pocketbook, Boger edition of Boenninghausen's repertory, The Synthetic Repertory, etc. These are excellent repertories for human use but can be a challenge to veterinarians for two reasons.
1. They contain large amounts of information, such as sensations, types of pains, and specific locations, that only humans can communicate.
2. Some of the most common non-human conditions are either minimally presented or completely absent from existing repertories.

Veterinarians Richard Pitcairn and Wendy Jensen, together with over 55 years' experience in exclusively homeopathic practices, bring their knowledge of animal conditions and the correspondingly most applicable rubrics to this unparalleled reference work. The Boenninghausen repertory, edited by Boger, was the foundation for the work because of its emphasis on physical conditions and its skillful use of modalities and concomitants that are so necessary in veterinary work. After editing out the non-applicable material, rubrics especially helpful in animal cases were added or enlarged – primarily from Kent's repertory, but also from other sources including Jahr, Boger, Allen, Hering and Boericke. Extensive cross references were also added to make the discovery of the most similar rubric much easier than ever before.

This work, the first of its type, will greatly enhance every homeopathic veterinarian's satisfaction and success in practice.
