Suicidal disposition is a serious complaint in the homeopathic consultation. It’s coming from deep depression and often associated with guilt feelings in the relatives and friends. Bismuthums are frequently needed in patients were someone near has committed suicide. The suicide of a relative or friend leads to deep thought of guilt. The Bismuthums also have the feeling of isolation of the Goldseries.
The highest level in a patient should be healed first, which means that the level of decision-making should be healed first.

Hummingbird for ADHD, by Sally Williams

A very handsome boy with bright eyes and dark hair, is buzzing with energy. His small wire like body darts around my office. His restless nature prevents him from staying still for even a moment. When he first came to me he was on Ritalin, prescribed for his ADHD, and Benedryl for his sleeplessness.
C.B., boy age 10, has very little appetite and eats “like a bird.” He craves sugar even though his mother strictly forbids it. C.B.’s mother calls him “Professor Stealth,” because he “quietly flies into the kitchen, steals candy, and flies out.”

Our modern life style, dietary habits, and both psychological and physical stresses, together with the practice of vaccination and the over use of antibiotics have contributed to the weakening vitality of the host and compromising the digestive, absorptive and immune functions of the body. These have led to the alterations in the bacteria metabolism and the over growth of potentially pathogenic micro-organisms in our intestinal system. As the gastrointestinal tract is considered to be one of the largest immune organs of the body, any disturbance in the bowel flora can mean a difference between health and disease in an individual.
For these reasons I would like to bring our attention to the possibilities of bowel nosodes in homoeopathic practice and their role in healing chronic diseases.

Coli, J.Paterson, E.Bach, vital force, non-lactose fermenting organisms

It is clear that the information on bowel nosodes in their clinical use and investigation is scant. However, their role in healing the myriad of chronic disease conditions may yet prove to be important when there is greater knowledge of their use and healing properties become known to us via further clinical and laboratory investigations.

Naphtalinum/2, by Anne Wirtz

In this case of a young woman the feeling of rootlessness and insecurity runs clearly through the story of her life. She suffers from eczema, cystitis, has abdominal complaints etc. and has had many antibiotics in her life. The fact that she responded well on Naphtalinum means that this is well understood.

Cerium carbonicum, by Anne Wirtz

A 3 year old girl with complaints of bellyaches and watery diarrhea. She wants things her way. She is very meticulous and sees every ‘imperfection’, stain or crack. She has a tendency to be overly careful which reminds the mother of a 60 year old person. The need for autonomy, timidity, fear to make mistakes before mastering things, the need for order, the perspiration on face and nose, and her being “a daddy’s girl” led me to a Lanthanide (Stage 4) Cerium - Carbonicum. The very day after the remedy her stool was normal and Instead of ‘like a careful 60 year-old person’, she turned into a child.

This is a case of a patient with facial paralysis from the cold. Diagnosis: Bell’s Palsy. Cadmium sulphuricum gave a rapid cure. Confirmed symptoms for the Cadmium are: paralysis, nerve problems. The beauty of the case is that the prescription was in 1985, long before “Homeopathy and Elements’ was published, but the case confirms the ideas therein very well. The case is very similar to the one published in the january edition of Interhomeopathy "Cadmium sulphuratum, I feel powerless", by Leo van Gelder.
